OPTI CCA TS2 is a Blood Gas Analyzer and Electrolyte Analyzer that is used to measure the oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in the blood, as well blood’s pH balance
The OPTI CCA Blood Gas and Electrolyte Analyzer is a microprocessor-based analyzer that uses discrete sensors called optical electrodes to monitor optical fluorescence (optodes). OPTI CCA Blood Gas and Electrolyte Analyzer required for calibration, sample measurement, and waste containment is contained in a disposable, single-use cassette. Swiping the cassette package through the bar-code reader reads specific calibration information from the cassette into the analyzer. After that, the cassette is inserted into the measuring chamber.
By running a precise calibration gas mixture through the optode sensors, the OPTI CCA Blood Gas Analyzer heats the cassette to 37.0°C (0.1°C)/98.6°F (0.1°F) and performs a calibration verification on the sensors for PCO2 and PO2. Precision buffer solution in the cassette is used to calibrate the pH and electrolyte channels. The analyzer aspirates the blood sample into the cassette and across the optode sensors when the calibration is validated. Fluorescence emission is monitored after equilibration with the blood sample.
