Easy to use Covidien SCD 700 Pump:

Vascular Refill Detection is unique to Kendall SCD compression; allowing the controller to customize compression cycles based upon the patient’s individual venous refill time. This Covidian DVT Compression PUMP  helps to move the maximum amount of blood over time, up to 76% more blood as compared to compression systems without Vascular Refill Detection.

Default compression cycle of 11 seconds is applied to patient legs

  • Sleeve deflates, holding 6 mmHg in the middle chamber of the calf
  • Pressure is held and monitored for up to 60 seconds to evaluate girth changes of the calf
  • When the calf girth stops increasing for 10 seconds, this signals the leg veins have refilled completely
  • Vascular refill time is now calculated and set; sleeve deflates
  • Vascular refill time is re-evaluated every 30 minutes to account for changes in patient variables
